Shalini Juteram, 14, won the fourth preliminary round of the Children of Mastana 2010 competition last week. The Sangre Grande resident, a student of the SWAHA Hindu College, pleased the judges with an energetic modern film dance, choreographed by Colin Rampersad. Placing second was Karishma Subnaik, of Penal, while Vishala Dowtal, of Felicity, copped the third prize. The fourth prize was won by dancer Lilly Che, of Claxton Bay, and the fifth prize went to Shivanand Soochit of Princes Town.

Jackpot for the Pick-a-Pan contest this week is $2,650 cash, sponsored by the National Flour Mills. The final audition and meeting for all semi-finalists of the competition will take place on Sunday at the residence of Surujdeo Mungroo, Tulsa Trace, Penal.
