Three men were detained for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking during an anti-crime exercise in Rio Claro.
According to police reports, while conducting the exercise on the Southern Main Road, Navet, Rio Claro, officers stopped a Nissan AD Wagon and searched the vehicle.
In the centre console of the vehicle, they found 1.015 Kg of marijuana seeds with an estimated street value of $13,650.
The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged: Amral Amralli, Sunil Seebarath and Samaroo Francis.
They are expected to appear via virtual hearing to answer to the charges.
The exercise was coordinated by Senior Superintendent (Ag) Aguilal, and supervised by Sgt. Mahabir, and officers of Rio Claro CID Task Force.
