Ainsworth Sookhan, a three foot tall man, who allegedly struck another man with a wheel spanner during a fight in San Fernando, has been charged.
Sookhan, 29, a driver, of La Romaine is expected to appear before a San Fernando Magistrate on Friday charged with wounding Sheldon Hamlet with intent.
He was charged by PC Khemraj on Thursday two days after he was arrested.
Videos of the incident were recorded by onlookers and went viral on social media.
Hamlet lost his eye in the incident, which occurred last Saturday at Coffee Street.
Sookhan said he was plying his car for hire near the La Romaine taxi stand when he and Hamlet had an exchange of words, which ended in a scuffle.
Sookhan then went to the police station where he made a report.
A third man who was involved in the fight has not been arrested.
