The To­ba­go Hin­du So­ci­ety (THC) cel­e­brat­ed In­di­an Ar­rival Day on Sat­ur­day at the Gulf City Mall, in Low­lands.

The event was free to the pub­lic and fea­tured the tal­ents of To­ba­go’s East In­di­an Com­mu­ni­ty and artistes from Trinidad.

In her ad­dress, pres­i­dent of the To­ba­go Hin­du So­ci­ety, Pul­wat­ty Beepath, said the or­gan­i­sa­tion was proud to cel­e­brate In­di­an Ar­rival Day for 30 con­sec­u­tive years.

Beepath al­so praised the found­ing mem­bers of the THS, among them Colonel Mahin­dra Math­ur (re­tired), Pradeep Ku­mar and Vish­nu Singh.

Beepath said the THS strug­gled for years to con­struct a tem­ple. She al­so heaped praise on for­mer chief sec­re­tary of the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA) Orville Lon­don for as­sist­ing the THS tremen­dous­ly.

She said by the end of 2023 the tem­ple should be com­plet­ed with the help of many peo­ple and busi­ness­es.
