Only one new COVID-19 positive case has been recorded in Tobago for Sunday 20th March 2022, according to the latest update from the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), bringing the number of current active infections on the island to 435.
The Division also is reporting that there have been no new deaths from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the total number of deaths on the island remains at 248. The last death from COVID-19 recorded in Tobago was on Thursday March 17th—an unvaccinated person.
Currently, 19 people are hospitalised with COVID-19, 14 of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while five (5) people have been fully vaccinated.
The Division’s update also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,049.
