The T&T Spirit finally left the Port of Scarborough at 3.05 pm after an almost five-hour delay, head of Marketing and Public Relations at the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, Vilma Lewis-Cockburn, has confirmed.
Lewis-Cockburn had earlier told Guardian Media that a mechanical problem had delayed it from sailing as scheduled at 9.30 am. However, she had initially suggested the vessel would leave at 1 pm after repairs.
Some passengers travelling to Trinidad for this evening’s final Caribbean Premier League cricket match between the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Guyana Amazon Warriors may thus arrive very late for the fixture, which starts at 5 pm, if they still intend to go.
Stay tuned for more info.
