The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association (TTMA) has successfully administered over 20,000 vaccines in seven mass vaccination sites to-date. TTMA stands proud to have positively contributed to the Government’s ‘Vaccinate to Operate’ for the safe reopening of the business community.

President of the TTMA, Tricia Coosal stated, “We are thrilled that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade & Industry has continued to partner with the TTMA in vaccination drives for the business community. TTMA is also pleased to have extended today’s second dose vaccination drive to all members of the public who were vaccinated at the Divali Nagar site before 27th June 2021. This is to ensure the public receives their second dose of the Sinopharm vaccine in a timely manner. We thank the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Trade & Industry for the confidence placed in TTMA to give us the first opportunity in June to be the first private organisation under public-private partnership to execute large vaccination sites.”

Tricia Coosal also stated, “As the role model for other organisations in ‘Vaccinate to Operate’ TTMA continues to lead the way for the execution of other organisations’ vaccination sites. The vaccination site template developed and executed by the TTMA served as a springboard for other organisations’ executions and TTMA stands ready to share with other organisations the learnings gleaned from our 7 vaccination sites execution of both 1st and 2nd doses.

Today, TTMA successfully administered 5,200 2nd doses of Sinopharm today at the Divali Nagar Site. This brings our total vaccines administered (both 1st and 2nd doses) to a total of 22,000 approximately. We will continue to honour our commitment to the contribution of a safe operating business community in the execution of further mass vaccination sites for 1st dose Sinopharm.”

Coosal expressed her tremendous gratitude to all volunteers who continue to support selflessly TTMA’s vaccination drives, “This achievement of administration of over 20,000 vaccines would not have been possible without our partners, the T&T Medical Association, SEWA TT International and the National Council for Indian Culture (NCIC).

On behalf of TTMA Board of Directors thank you to all for your contribution to TTMA’s ‘Safety for Success’ as we continue to contribute to the business community to ensure a safe reopening to protect lives and livelihood.”
