President of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association, Martin Lum Kin, says the education fraternity is in a better place because of Lisa Morris-Julian's contributions.
He said the untimely death of the minister in the Ministry of Education will leave a void, especially since she dedicated her life to the cause of education, from her days at Barataria South Secondary School where she taught, to her ministerial duties.
Lum Kin said TTUTA is saddened by the news, especially since Morris-Julian was a member of the Association who assisted them whenever she could.
Meanwhile, fellow Arimian and UWI St. Augustine principal, Professor Rose-Marie Belle Antoine, also remembered Morris-Julian for her passion for playwriting, which earned her numerous awards at the secondary school level.
Professor Antoine said the late minister’s legacy will live on in the students she encouraged, the communities she uplifted, and the friends and family who knew her heart.
