There were two major fires in Tobago last night.
The first occurred at Black Rock, where a three-story warehouse owned by Tobago businessman Christopher “Sco” Roberts was partially destroyed.
According to neighbours, at around 7 pm flames were observed coming from the roof of the building and the T&T Fire Service was contacted.
Fire tenders were at that location for an extensive period battling the flames when another fire broke out at Castara.
This time, an appliance was dispatched from the Roxborough Fire Station to the home of Junior Jackson. However, by the time fire officers got to the scene the building was well alight and was eventually completely destroyed.
There were no injuries reported from either incident.
