Officers of the Tobago Police Division have nabbed two Trinidadians on the interisland ferry for outstanding warrants.
The men were caught during a search of the ferry for prisoners who had escaped the Remand Yard of the Golden Grove Prison on May 15.
According to a police report, officers of the Tobago Divisional Taskforce, Port Authority, Warrant Office and other arms of the Ministry of National Security are paying special attention to all ports of entry into Tobago in an effort to prevent the escaped prisoners from reaching Tobago.
The exercise was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Jeffrey George and supervised by Sgt Stewart.
