Two men were arrested but later released, as investigations into the kidnapping of a Maraval woman and her daughter continue.
Patrina Hernandez, 45, and her 19-year-old daughter, Amelia Roberts, were kidnapped from their Andalucia Drive, Maraval home early on the morning of September 8.
Three of their vehicles, a brown Hyundai Tucson, a silver Toyota Yaris and a black Nissan Cefiro, were also stolen.
The women were found hours later walking on the Lady Young Road, Morvant.
Police said two men were arrested for the kidnapping of both women earlier this week but later released pending further enquiries.
Senior police sources said one of the men was charged with receiving stolen items in an unrelated investigation.
The senior officer said the matter was still “very much” active and assured that police officers from various units were working on several leads.
The enquiry is being led by officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU), the Western Division with assistance from the Cyber and Social Media Unit.
