A joint po­lice ex­er­cise car­ried out on drugs blocks in and around San­gre Grande re­sult­ed in two men be­ing ar­rest­ed, il­le­gal drugs val­ued at $2,880 and 11 mar­i­jua­na trees grown in flower pots be­ing seized.

Po­lice went to Damarie Hill, Guaico, San­gre Grande where a 31-year-old man was ar­rest­ed af­ter po­lice found 124 grams of mar­i­jua­na and a sum of cash from sales.

The sec­ond ar­rest was made at Glas­glow Lane, North­east­ern Set­tle­ment, San­gre Grande where a 20-year-old was held af­ter po­lice found 11 ful­ly-grown mar­i­jua­na trees grow­ing in flower pots at his home.

The two men were charged with traf­fick­ing in cannabis and cul­ti­vat­ing dan­ger­ous drugs re­spec­tive­ly.

The joint ex­er­cise in­clud­ed mem­bers of East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and K9 Unit.

In ad­di­tion, po­lice of­fi­cers al­so car­ried out stop and search ex­er­cis­es but no ar­rests were made or traf­fic tick­ets is­sued.
