A joint police exercise carried out on drugs blocks in and around Sangre Grande resulted in two men being arrested, illegal drugs valued at $2,880 and 11 marijuana trees grown in flower pots being seized.
Police went to Damarie Hill, Guaico, Sangre Grande where a 31-year-old man was arrested after police found 124 grams of marijuana and a sum of cash from sales.
The second arrest was made at Glasglow Lane, Northeastern Settlement, Sangre Grande where a 20-year-old was held after police found 11 fully-grown marijuana trees growing in flower pots at his home.
The two men were charged with trafficking in cannabis and cultivating dangerous drugs respectively.
The joint exercise included members of Eastern Division Task Force and K9 Unit.
In addition, police officers also carried out stop and search exercises but no arrests were made or traffic tickets issued.
