The University of the West Indies (The UWI) will be hosting a Vice-Chancellor's Forum titled “Demystifying the Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)”, Thursday 30 January 2020.
The Forum can be viewed via UWItv’s livestream (at www.uwitv.org) from 1 pm local time. Those watching the broadcast can send their questions in via the chat feature for the livestream.
The UWI has convened a group of experts to examine issues related to the recent Coronavirus outbreak originating in China. In a panel discussion and livestreamed Q & A format, the forum will offer informed analysis and perspectives, seeking to clarify information on the virus’ spread, treatment and the Caribbean region’s response.
The Forum’s programme will include remarks from Vice-Chancellor of The UWI, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles and will feature the following health experts:

• Professor Christine Carrington… Molecular Genetics and Virology Expert, The UWI, St Augustine Campus

• Professor John Lindo… Parasite Epidemiology Expert and Deputy Dean (Research), Faculty of Medical Sciences, The UWI, Mona Campus
