An 18-year-old Venezuelan woman is assisting police with their investigations into reports of grievous sexual and physical assault against a 24-year-old special needs woman.
Police said the 24-year-old, accompanied by a relative, reported that between January and April, she was a victim of torture at the hands of the woman, who is the girlfriend of a relative. The report was made on April 19.
Police reported that the woman was burnt with a lighter on her breast and other areas and hot pepper rubbed on her eyes and vagina. On one occasion, a fork was allegedly shoved into her vagina and a hot spoon placed on her forehead and other areas.
The victim was also allegedly put on the bonnet of a car, after which the driver sped off, causing her to fall. She was also reportedly placed in a kennel and had urine thrown on her.
Police arrested the alleged attacker on Thursday, after she tried to flee the country. An under age male cousin, who was also implicated in the abuse, was removed from their Carlsen Field home after police were told of the incidents.
Officers from the Freeport Police Station are continuing investigations.
