Jack Warner is debunking social media posts that he has been taken into custody by US officials.
When contacted today about the social media posts, Warner, a former FIFA vice president facing 29 corruption charges by US authorities, said he was enjoying family time.
Warner said he believed those who created the posts of his extradition were simply pulling an April Fool's prank on the population.
Warner was banned for life from football by FIFA following a corruption scandal that embroiled the game’s world governing body in 2015.
In May of that year, he was indicted on 29 corruption charges by US authorities, who requested his extradition after an arrest warrant was issued to him and other FIFA officials.
He was one of 14 top FIFA officials and corporate executives to be accused of corruption, fraud and money laundering.
Warner has always denied the allegations levelled against him.
