Parts of North, Central and South Trinidad, served by the Caroni Water Treatment Plant will continue to experience a reduced water supply until Saturday, as the production at the plant remains at a reduced level.
An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains:
“This has become necessary due to flooded river conditions and clogged screens currently being experienced at the raw water intake of the facility due to the weather conditions as per the ITCZ.”
It added: “The Authority will continue to monitor river conditions with a view of returning the facility to full production capacity in the shortest possible time, and also thanks customers for their patience and understanding.”
