The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised customers in parts of South East Trinidad, served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, that there will be an interruption in their pipe-borne water supply on Friday 12th July 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. In a statement, WASA said this has become necessary in order to facilitate emergency mechanical repairs at the facility.
The affected areas include, Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Tableland, Robert Village, George Village, Libertville, San Pedro, Clearwater, Rio Claro, Deep Ravine, Mayaro, Ecclesville, Cunapo Southern Main Road, Plum Mitan, Rio Claro Tabaquite Road, Tabaquite, Williamsville, Piparo, New Grant, Hindustan, Whiteland, Hardbargain, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Matilda, St. Julien, Indian Walk, Barrackpore, Cumuto, Borde Narve, St. Mary's Village, Moruga and Penal Rock Road.
“Customers are advised that following the completion of these works, it may take up to twenty (24) hours for the supply to normalize in some affected areas. Customers are further advised that a limited truck-borne service is available upon request. This can be requested through the following self-service options: WASA Services App available via the Play Store or Apple store; or Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.”
