Please allow me some space in your newspaper to highlight some of the problems that students of Arima Central Secondary School are experiencing at this point in time.
This school is in the Constituency of the Minister of Education and he needs to listen to the plight of these students and take the necessary action.
The old adage states “Charity begins at home” an Arima Central Secondary School is on my mind.
Can someone tell me what’s happening there?
I have been hearing many stories from students and parents and I am getting a picture that Administration does not care about these students.
Some students are suffocating in their classrooms.
AC’s are not working, no fans, poorly ventilated classrooms and the students have to interact with an administration that seems not to be student-centered.
It is very difficult and inhumanely possible for students to operate in this type of environment.
This is not conducive to learning.
Are the Principal and Vice-Principal aware of the weather patterns at present?
Do they feel the heat that these students are experiencing?
There are many hard-working students in this school who want to achieve success.
The Minister of Education needs to investigate what is happening at this school which has in the past won national scholarships.
I do hope action is taken soon to address issues affecting the school, its student body and teachers.
