Rowley wrote Richards last week asking that Mohammed be removed from the position as he was unsuitable for the job. Rowley said Mohammed's tenure "has become even more untenable in the face of his reckless, self-serving comments." Rowley said Mohammed's statement was unfortunate. He said it was an attack on the integrity of previous Police Service Commissions and it threatened the social fabric and stability of T&T. He is also calling on Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to say whether the Government will use its special majority in Parliament to "rectify his perceived racial discrimination in the Police Service."
