Bateau ap­peared in four of Kansas City's pre-sea­son ex­hi­bi­tion match­es against the Colum­bus Crew, Col­orado Rapids, Hous­ton Dy­namo and the Unit­ed States Un­der-18 Na­tion­al Team, all of which were played in Phoenix, Ari­zona. It is un­der­stood that ne­go­ti­a­tions are tak­ing place to­wards a deal that will see Cyrus re­main with Kansas for the up­com­ing MLS sea­son. Mean­while, W Con­nec­tion duo Shah­don Win­ches­ter and Jo­evin Jones were al­so re­leased from their tri­al with Col­orado Rapids.
