The Shut­tle­Force duo of Will Lee and Ja­da Re­nales proved over the week­end that they are among the top ju­nior bad­minton play­ers in T&T, win­ning three ti­tles each at the T&T Bad­minton As­so­ci­a­tion So­lo Ju­nior Open tour­na­ment at the Cen­tral Re­gion­al In­door Sport­ing Are­na in Ch­agua­nas.

Lee, the num­ber one ranked play­er in the boys sin­gles Un­der-19 draw, was forced to dig deep to cap­ture the ti­tle. Lee lost the open­ing set 21-23 to Adri­an Nichol­son, but bounced back with a 21-5 win in the sec­ond set. In the de­cid­ing set, Lee pre­vailed in a close bat­tle 21-18.

In the boys dou­bles U-19 round robin cat­e­go­ry, Lee and Nichol­son joined forces to win the event. Lee and Re­nales, the top ranked team in the mixed dou­bles U-19 cat­e­go­ry, out­last­ed Nichol­son and Ral­ista Wong 21-17, 21-13 in the fi­nal as Lee wrapped up his third ti­tle.

Ral­ista Wong al­so paired up with Re­nales to cap­ture the girls dou­bles U-19 round robin ti­tle. Re­nales on­ly need­ed one match to win the girls sin­gles U-19 ti­tle, with a 21-10, 21-18 vic­to­ry in the fi­nal over Anan­da Ram­s­ingh. Re­nales earned a quar­ter­fi­nal (first round) bye and then had a walkover win in the se­mi-fi­nals.
