The Trinidad and To­ba­go Na­tion­al 3x3 bas­ket­ball team has ar­rived in San Juan, Puer­to Ri­co on Tues­day, for the fourth edi­tion of the FI­BA 3x3 Amer­iCup tour­na­ment, which runs from De­cem­ber 12-15, 2024.

The aim of the Na­tion­al Bas­ket­ball Fed­er­a­tion of T&T (NBFTT) is to bring home more medals as it builds on the PANAM Games bronze medal suc­cess of 2023. 

The stage is set, the play­ers are ready for what promis­es to be an ex­cit­ing tour­na­ment with the best teams from the Amer­i­c­as com­pet­ing for top ho­n­ours. T&T is made up of Chike Au­gus­tine, Ah­keel “Smal­ly” Boyd, Mori­ba De Fre­itas, and Tyrese Fields.

Christo­pher Jack­son Charles is the team’s coach, while Wayne Samuel will serve as both man­ag­er and train­er. T&T is drawn along­side Cu­ba, Ja­maica, and St Kitts and Nevis in Group B of the qual­i­fy­ing rounds on Thurs­day.

The win­ner of that group will progress to Group C in the Main Draw on Fri­day to play against Cana­da and Ar­genti­na.
