Chaguanas North Secondary and Pleasantville Secondary are the only two schools assured of a place in the Champion of Champions Play-Off of the Championship Division of the Secondary Schools Football League to date.

The championship division enters its final round today, but Chaguanas North, last year's winner of Central Zone will have the opportunity to contest promotion to the Premier Division next year, since it cannot be caught after today's matches. After missing out on being elevated to the top flight schools tournament last year, the Chaguanas boys are on 21 points and cannot be touched even if they are beaten by second place Couva East at home this afternoon.

The Couva lads are on 16 points and can only move to 19 points. Only the top team in the zone will progress.

It's an identical situation in the south zone with leaders Pleasantville Secondary on 25 points, set to face Point Fortin East at home from 3:40 pm.

Second place Moruga Secondary is on 16 points and can only move to 19 points if they claim victory over La Romaine away.

Meanwhile, it will be a battle in the East zone where new leaders Holy Cross College boys, on 22 points need to win when they host El Dorado East. A loss for Holy Cross and a win for second place Malabar Secondary (20 points) at home to Sangre Grande will put Malabar through.

In the North, Malick too needs just a draw away to Blanchisseuse for a CoC place. Strangely the Blanchisseuse boys, with 19 points, are the only ones capable of catching Malick should they win today.

The Tobago zone will be settled tomorrow. All matches today begin at 3:40 pm.
