Naparima College will be on a bye when round 12 of the Shell/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premiership Division kicks off on Saturday.
Naparima, the league leaders is on 29 points from 11 matches and will look on as second position St Anthony's College on 23, visits a hot and cold Malick Secondary team at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Balmain, Couva.
Malick which lies in 12th position on the 15-team table with 10 points will need a favourable result to avoid dropping into to relegation zone.
Presentation College which is third on the standing has played the least amount of games this season attaining 22 points from just nine, will host Trinity East in the second match of a double-header at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium from 3:30 pm.
Trinity East is ninth after 10 matches with 11 points and could find themselves fighting for survival in the upcoming rounds if the Easterners don't get the much-needed points in today's contest.
The first game of the Mannie Ramjohn programme will kick off at 1:30 and will feature St Benedict's College and QRC. For the second consecutive season, Benedict's boys will depend on their late-season form to stay in the division. The team has just 10 points from as many matches and is in 13th place.
QRC, on the other hand, is sixth with 16 points as the team targets a top-five finish.
Fourth place Carapichaima East on 22 points is coming off a heavy 5-0 drubbing from Naps and will be looking to rebound in a big way on the road to St Mary's. That means the Saints will be seeking all three points at home to regain some pride after their 7-0 thrashing from St Anthony's College, a week ago to date, the last time the team played.
East Mucurapo which is fifth on 18 points will go into the lion's den to battle Trinity Moka which sit second from bottom on just four points. Moka, like the Saints, will also require divine intention to avoid demotion.
Seventh place San Juan North on 14 points will be aiming to show its fans that the team continue to improve when St Augustine Secondary visits.
The Green Machine has one point less than San Juan and is in 8th place from the same 10 games contested.
Speyside Secondary (11 points) and Pleasantville secondary (10 points) are 10th and 11th respectively. The two will square off at the Yoland Pompey Ground in Princess Town as they scramble for points to move into the safe zone with 2020 in mind.
