West In­dies women all rounder De­an­dra Dot­tin was in great form in the lat­est round of match­es in the Syd­ney First Grade Women's crick­et se­ries. The 19-year-old Bar­ba­di­an turn­ing out for Gor­don in the top flight of women's crick­et in Aus­tralia, scored 88 and then re­turned with the ball to grab 5/19 to take her team to a crush­ing 226-run vic­to­ry over Uni­ver­si­ties.

Bat­ting first at Chat­woods Oval, Gor­don com­piled 269 all out with Dot­tin hit­ting 88 and fel­low West In­di­an Kir­by­i­na Alexan­der scor­ing 23. The two added 43 runs for the sixth wick­et. The Uni­ver­si­ties in re­ply were skit­tled out for just 43 runs with Dot­tin grab­bing 5/19.

Else­where Trinida­di­an Stacey King and Ja­maican Shanel Daly were both in form with the ball. King took 2/24 to help bowl out Suther­land for 140 off 37.5 overs. Daly bat­ting for Suther­land got on­ly 14. When East­ern Sub­urbs took to the crease all they could man­age was 112/9 off 40 overs with Stacey King get­ting on­ly eight runs. Daly was the star of the show for Suther­land tak­ing 3/29.
