Jesse Bootan and Camillo Carimbocas took six wickets between them that helped North rout South West for just 80 runs, setting the foundation for a nine-wicket victory in the final group match of the 2010 BG T&T Under 15 Cricket Tournament at Happy Hill, Rousillac, yesterday.
The win has now given North a semifinal berth against defending champion East on February 18. Bootan took four for 13 off seven overs and Carimbocas two for 19 from three overs. The duo proved too much for the South West batsmen, after the home team took first strike in a Group B contest.
Arvinda Roopchan with 15 and Clevon Kalawan with 12 not out, were the only two batsmen in double figures as their team folded in 36 overs.
In reply North reached 82 for one, with Carimbocas returning with the bat to score an unbeaten 27, while Marlon Phillip was 24 not out.
