Two-time de­fend­ing Dig­i­cel Pro League cham­pi­ons, Cli­co San Juan Jabloteh will go af­ter its first win in the Con­ca­caf Cham­pi­ons League group stages when it faces CD Marathon of Hon­duras tonight.

The Group B match day two clash takes place at the Es­ta­dio Olimpi­co Met­ro­pol­i­tano, San Pe­dro Su­la, from 10 pm.

The San Juan club, coached by St Lu­cian Earl Jean, will be hop­ing to re­bound from its 1-0 loss to Mex­i­can Aper­tu­ra cham­pi­ons and two-time Con­ca­caf club win­ners, CD Tolu­ca at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la on Thurs­day. Marathon, mean­while, whipped US Ma­jor League club, DC Unit­ed 3-1 in its open­er at home and will be con­fi­dent of an­oth­er win. Jabloteh left here on Sun­day and will be strength­ened by the in­clu­sion of for­mer Eng­land-based de­fend­er, 35-year-old Den­nis "Tallest" Lawrence.

Lawrence, who moved to Eng­land's Wrex­ham in 2001 from De­fence Force made his re­turn to the Pro League in his club's 2-0 win over Cale­do­nia AIA of Mor­vant/Laven­tille on Sat­ur­day af­ter spells with Swansea City and Crewe Alexan­dra, in Eng­land al­so. How­ev­er, Jabloteh will have to cope with­out na­tion­al Un­der-20 de­fend­ers, Robert Primus and Shel­don Bateau, who left with the na­tion­al team for a pre-Fi­fa Un­der-20 World Cup tour on Sun­day. Marathon is com­ing off a 2-2 with Olimpia at the same venue on Sat­ur­day to re­main top of the Hon­duran Aper­tu­ra league.
