Jabloteh exercises rights to Williams

Af­ter go­ing the sea­son tro­phy­less, Dig­i­cel Pro League run­ners-up, Cli­co San Juan Jabloteh has al­ready be­gan to re­shape its squad un­der re-hired coach, Eng­lish­man Ter­ry Fen­wick. Fen­wick, who will take over the coach­ing role from St Lu­cian Earl Jean af­ter be­ing out of the post for one sea­son, has ex­er­cised the rights to re­new a fur­ther one-year con­tract to na­tion­al Un­der-20 play­ers Kevin Moli­no and Mekeil Williams, as well as first team reg­u­lars, Lester "Corn Curls" Pelti­er and Mar­vin Oliv­er, the Pro League's 2008 Play­er of the Year.

Moli­no and Williams both spent the last sea­son on loan to league new­com­ers Ma Pau, which end­ed a cred­itable fifth in the league and were mem­bers of the T&T Un­der-20 team at the Fi­fa Un­der-20 World Cup Fi­nals in Egypt. Mid­field­er, El­ton John, who's con­tract ex­pired on De­cem­ber 12, has al­so been of­fered a new deal while An­ton Hutchin­son and Willis Plaza have been re­leased. The core of the Jabloteh team un­der Jean is still in­tact with most of the play­ers, in­clud­ing Cleon John, Robert Primus, Ja­son Mar­cano, At­u­al­la Guer­ra, Noel Williams, Eli­jah Man­ners, Shel­don Bateau, Jer­rel Brit­to and Jerol Forbes all still tied to the club.
