Latapy focuses on tactical improvement

So­ca War­riors coach Rus­sell Lat­apy says he is look­ing for­ward to see­ing some tac­ti­cal im­prove­ment from his team when it host re­gion­al ri­vals, Ja­maica in an in­ter­na­tion­al friend­ly at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya from 6 pm to­mor­row. Lat­apy was speak­ing ahead of his team's train­ing ses­sion at the match venue yes­ter­day ahead of a train­ing ses­sion.

The T&T coach said he was keen­ly look­ing for­ward to the clash with the Ja­maicans, who like T&T are us­ing the match as part of their con­tin­ued prepa­ra­tions for the Dig­i­cel Caribbean Cup which kicks off lat­er this month with the qual­i­fy­ing round. To­day, the 20-man T&T squad which is be­ing led by bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic's Trent Noel will hold an­oth­er ses­sion ahead of to­mor­row's meet­ing with the "Reg­gae Boyz", cur­rent­ly ranked sec­ond in the Caribbean Foot­ball Union, be­hind T&T.

Look­ing ahead to to­mor­row's match, Lat­apy who will be on the op­po­site side of for­mer in­ter­na­tion­al ri­val, Ja­maican coach, Theodore Whit­more said he ex­pects the clash to be an in­trigu­ing one. Two hours ear­li­er to­mor­row, the T&T Un­der-17 So­ca Princess­es will face their se­nior team-mates in a prac­tice match as they con­tin­ue prepa­ra­tions for the Fi­fa Un­der-17 World Cup here in T&T from Sep­tem­ber 5 to 25.

Host T&T will meet Chile in the open­ing match of the tour­na­ment.

Ad­mis­sion for Wednes­day's match is $40 for adults and $20 for kids and will be avail­able match day at the venue.
