T&T in­ter­na­tion­al Levi Gar­cia scored the lone goal as AEK Athens edged Atro­mis 1-0 in Round Ten of the Greece Stoix­i­man Su­per League at the Peri­s­teri Sta­di­um, Peri­s­teri, Greece, Sun­day.

With the teams look­ing to head to the half-time in­ter­val goal­less, the 26-year-old Gar­cia was on spot to turn home a left-sided cen­tre from Ehsan Ha­jsafi for the lead, a minute in­to time added-on at the end of the half.

The goal for Gar­cia was his sev­enth goal of the sea­son, and on­ly his sec­ond in the league af­ter he net­ted in the 3-0 open­ing-round tri­umph against OFI back on Au­gust 18.

With 18 min­utes left in the sec­ond half, Gar­cia was re­placed by fel­low strik­er, Hait­ian Frantzdy Pier­rot as AEK went for fresh legs up front, but in the end, the strike by Gar­cia proved enough to se­cure the win to car­ry their points tal­ly to 18, the same as Olympia­cos, and three be­hind sur­prise lead­ers Aris while PAOK is sec­ond with 20 af­ter their come from be­hind 2-1 tri­umph over Lamia.

Last sea­son, the T&T in­ter­na­tion­al scored 11 goals and added two as­sists in 12 Su­per League match­es and scored two goals and pro­vid­ed one as­sist in eight Su­per League Play­off games as AEK end­ed as run­ners-up.
