T&T international Levi Garcia scored the lone goal as AEK Athens edged Atromis 1-0 in Round Ten of the Greece Stoiximan Super League at the Peristeri Stadium, Peristeri, Greece, Sunday.
With the teams looking to head to the half-time interval goalless, the 26-year-old Garcia was on spot to turn home a left-sided centre from Ehsan Hajsafi for the lead, a minute into time added-on at the end of the half.
The goal for Garcia was his seventh goal of the season, and only his second in the league after he netted in the 3-0 opening-round triumph against OFI back on August 18.
With 18 minutes left in the second half, Garcia was replaced by fellow striker, Haitian Frantzdy Pierrot as AEK went for fresh legs up front, but in the end, the strike by Garcia proved enough to secure the win to carry their points tally to 18, the same as Olympiacos, and three behind surprise leaders Aris while PAOK is second with 20 after their come from behind 2-1 triumph over Lamia.
Last season, the T&T international scored 11 goals and added two assists in 12 Super League matches and scored two goals and provided one assist in eight Super League Playoff games as AEK ended as runners-up.
