National team duo, Talia Martin and J'Eleisha Alexander, combined for three goals to secure a 3-0 win for reigning National Secondary Schools Football League Girls Championship Division title-holder Scarborough Secondary over defending national Inter-Col champion Signal Hill at Shaw Park Complex in Tobago on Sunday.
Martin scored a double and Alexander, the reigning "Most Valuable Player" award recipient, one to keep Scarborough unbeaten in the Tobago Zone of the Girls SSFL Championship Division
Elsewhere in Tobago, Mason Hall Secondary got two goals from Jada Graham and one from Onesha Gregoire in a 3-1 victory against Pentecostal Light & Life who got its consolation item via Khalissa Cooper while Roxborough Secondary, and Bishop's High School drew goalless.
Down South, national player Nikita Gosine, Taye-Ann Wylie and Jada Shepherd all scored hat tricks to lead Pleasantville Secondary to a lopsided 12-0 thrashing of St Joseph's Convent (San Fernando).
Natalia, the older of the Gosine sisters, added a pair of goals for Pleasantville while Amanda Nanan also found the target in the win at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium training field in Marabella.
In the Central Zone, both Miracle Ministries Pentecostal High School, and Holy Faith Convent-Couva recorded 9-0 wins over Chaguanas North Secondary and Carapichaima West Secondary, respectively.
For Miracle Ministries, Gabriella Lezama banged in a beaver trick and Aaqilla Virgil continued her prolific form with a hat trick while Shre’ Dudley and Jewel Benjamin each chipped in with one.
In Holy Faith's triumph, Dana Pacheco led the way with a brace with Zaria Cassia, Julissa Swift, Faith Punch, Jalena Vincent, Zalika Mahadeo, Mercedeze Harewood and Jael Morgan, the other players on target.
In the East Zone, San Juan North spanked rivals St Augustine 7-2 inspired by a beaver trick from the in-form Myeisha Cox, with the trio of Taya Williams, Nathalia Honore, and Afiya Jacob firing in one each to cancel out replies from Kanika Rodrigues and Jylssa Keel.
In the other matches in the East, Five Rivers got a double from Luann Craig and one from Tashana Hackett to defeat Bishop Anstey High 3-1 with Orielle Martin on target for the losers while Barataria North overcame El Dorado East 2-0 via items from Shaquilla Daniel, and Alicia Roberts.
St Joseph's Convent (Port-of-Spain) continued its dominant form by hammering Tranquillity 7-0 behind a hat trick from Kaitlyn Darwent.
Scarlett Cole chipped in with two goals for St Joseph's Convent, and Charlotte Hadeed and Bethany Phillip (penalty), the others.
Holy Name Convent (Port-of-Spain) had Jada Cummings to thank for a double in a 2-0 beating of Bishop Anstey High while Diego Martin Central and Malick Secondary played out a 5-5 entertaining draw in the other matches.
