GEORGE­TOWN – West In­dies left-arm spin­ner Gu­dakesh Motie has signed with the Guyana Ama­zon War­riors to play in the up­com­ing Exxon­Mo­bil Glob­al Su­per League (GSL).

The 29-year-old Motie was part of the West In­dies white-ball squad that played Eng­land in a three-match One Day In­ter­na­tion­al se­ries and a five-match T20I se­ries.

He has rep­re­sent­ed the Ama­zon War­riors in the Caribbean Pre­mier League (CPL) since 2021 and was part of their 2023 ti­tle-win­ning team

Motie was the lead­ing wick­et tak­er for the War­riors in the 2024 CPL, claim­ing 17 vic­tims at an av­er­age of 18.64.

He joins fel­low Guyanese Shim­ron Het­my­er, Ro­mario Shep­herd, and Keemo Paul in a strong War­riors squad.

The 2024 Glob­al Su­per League runs from No­vem­ber 26 to De­cem­ber 7, with the Ama­zon War­riors com­pet­ing against Hamp­shire Hawks, La­hore Qa­lan­dars, Rang­pur Rid­ers and Vic­to­ria.

All the match­es are set to take place at the Guyana Na­tion­al Sta­di­um, Prov­i­dence.
