GEORGETOWN – West Indies left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie has signed with the Guyana Amazon Warriors to play in the upcoming ExxonMobil Global Super League (GSL).
The 29-year-old Motie was part of the West Indies white-ball squad that played England in a three-match One Day International series and a five-match T20I series.
He has represented the Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) since 2021 and was part of their 2023 title-winning team
Motie was the leading wicket taker for the Warriors in the 2024 CPL, claiming 17 victims at an average of 18.64.
He joins fellow Guyanese Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, and Keemo Paul in a strong Warriors squad.
The 2024 Global Super League runs from November 26 to December 7, with the Amazon Warriors competing against Hampshire Hawks, Lahore Qalandars, Rangpur Riders and Victoria.
All the matches are set to take place at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
