Floyd Trum­pet is now fit and ready to en­ter the ring once more.

The wel­ter­weight box­er, who will be putting his Fede­latin crown on the line in No­vem­ber, will warm-up for the de­fence on Sep­tem­ber 19 against Richard Howard of Guyana. He is re­turn­ing af­ter an in­jury. Trum­pet wil be de­fend­ing his Fede Caribe wel­ter weight ti­tle against Howard, who is a past cham­pi­on of this same belt in the Light­weight Di­vi­sion. The two fight­ers will be ap­pear­ing on the main bout on a card pro­mot­ed by Cos­mic Box­ing Pro­mo­tion.

Mak­ing his de­but is the grand­son of one of the most tal­ent­ed and fa­mous box­ers of the 1940's � 1950's, Fear­less Fred­dy, who was a house hold name both in Trinidad and Venezuela. He is Mark Alexan­der. Al­though mak­ing a late start to his ca­reer, Alexan­der is sure to can car­ry the fam­i­ly name with pride. He nev­er fought as an am­a­teur but has been around the Gym all his life. His op­po­nent is Guyanese-born Leon Dover.
