It was celebration time on the Guardian Sports Desk on Wednesday as the country’s top sporting personalities visited the premier sports desk in the country to enjoy the spirit of the season. The annual function which has evolved from a small department event into a national entity attracted a cross-section of the country’s personalities and several national awards were handed out.
Among those enjoying the occasion were: former West Indies batting legend Brian Lara, Fifa vice-president Jack Warner, Olympic champion George Bovell, former West Indies Under 19 cricket captains Dudnath Ramkissoon and Colin Murray, TTOC secretary Brian Lewis, TTFF press officer, Shaun Fuentes, TSTT’s Trudy de Verteuil, media 21 managing director Tim Nafziger, former Miss T&T Kenisha Thom- Selvon, and marketing entrepeneur Cherise D’Abadie.
