Lorissa Rivas...off Trinidad
and Tobago parentage.

Lorissa Rivas who is of Trinidad and Tobago parentage, living in Las Vegas and who created a big impression on the Trinidad and Tobago boxing fans when she knocked out Leslie Lubaczewski on a card tributed to Jizelle Salandy last March, would be fighting in the same weight class as Salandy did on the January 2nd 2010 boxing card promoted by Boxu Potts, President of Unified Promoter’s Boxing Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Rivas said, “I want to continue in the same vein as the great Jizelle Salandy. I fight as a super welterweight and I am trained by the best, which are the Mayweather brothers, so I am loaded with boxing skills. I have perfected one of the best right hand in the business; anyone that comes into contact with one of these right hand would surely hit the deck.” Rivas holds a record of 3 fights 2 (2), 1 (1), 0.

Rivas’ trainer, Jeff Mayweather, is very confident that his charge will step up to the task at Saith Park on January 2nd, by knocking out her opponent, Monica Acosta Siris of Colombia. Also on the same January 2nd fight card, Tanzee Daniel, a heavyweight who made short work of her last opponent, Maria Mancilla, is going to be fighting for the WIBA Caribbean Title. Tanzee has now put her career in the skillful hands of Promoter Boxu Potts. Potts said, “One day this girl (Tanzee Daniel) could be a heavyweight champion of the world. She has had over 40 amateur fights and from what I have seen of her, she has the potential to go right to the top, given time. Right now the heavyweight department doesn’t have as much talent as Tanzee does. When I saw a super middleweight by the name of Natascha Ragosina won the WIBF heavyweight title last week, I said to myself, wow if I can mold and fashion Tanzee into believing in herself she can surely demolish that girl with a few more fights on her belt.

I hope Ragosina sticks around long enough so Tanzee can get a shot of her. Right now our focus is on the January 2nd fight where Tanzee would be fighting Gardy Pena of Santo Domingo who hold a record of 11 fights (8 wins, 1loss, 2 draws) and if Tanzee can pass this test I would be looking to step her up a notch or two to fast track her fights towards a big fight with Ragosina in the near future”. The future looks bright in female boxing with these two exciting pugilist (Rivas & Daniel) under my stewardship, so together with Ria Ramnarine Lorissa Rivas and Tanzee Daniel Trinidad and Tobago would be a force to be reckoned with in these three divisions. I am no stranger to transforming boxer's career into world champions.

I did it with Tyrone Downes, Lisa Brown, Wayne Braithwaite, Sean Corbin and Jizelle Salandy, just to name a few and I'm about to do the same for these women, so long as they stick with the program that I would map out for them. I always tell my fighters, it takes hard work to reach the top and twice as hard work to stay there, but you can make it easy by just believing in yourselves. These three ladies are schedule to fight on January 2nd 2010 at the Central Regional Sport Arena, Saith Park, Chaguanas. Fight starts at 8 pm but gates open at 6 pm So Trinidad and Tobago come out in your numbers to give our women your full support.
