The T&T Volleyball Federation will now benefit from financial support of Carib Brewery Limited sponsorship for the 2011 season. This was announced by Navin Ramoutar, Promotions Manager, Carib Brewery at a media briefing held yesterday at the Carib Brewery Limited Hospitality Suite, Eastern Main Road, Champs Fleur, yesterday. First up on the agenda will be the 2012 London Olympics Beach Volleyball qualifiers which serve off at the Beach Volleyball Courts, Saith Park, Chaguanas on Friday until Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm daily. Carib has also pledged its support to the National Volleyball League which spiked off on Sunday with matches set to begin in January.
During his address, Ramoutar, noted that the T&TVF is in the minority of local sporting organisations that are making the headlines for all the right reasons. He boasted, "For those of you who don't know, our men's and women's teams are currently ranked Caribbean champions which is no mean feat and testimony to the good work that the federation has accomplished. "In addition to the excellent work and equipping these national teams, the federation has also invested in the training and improving in the standard of local coaches, as they strive for greater accomplishments in the field of volleyball. "This is the kind of well organised sporting organisation that sponsors like Carib seek.
"Not only do they conduct themselves in professional manner as they go about their business, but they produce results. "So we are Carib are pleased to be a sponsor for both the national league and the Olympic qualifying tournament starting later this week. "London 2012 is only next two years and what a great thrill would it be to see another T&T team qualifying to represent us on the world stage. Ramoutar also urged members of the public to come out and support the red, white and black at Chaguanas over the three-day tournament.
Other sponsors for the Beach Volleyball Qualifiers include, Norceca, FIVB, T&TVF, Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the T&T Olympic Committee (T&TOC).
