Cham­pi­on pow­er­lifters will be crowned to­day when the T&T Pow­er­lift­ing Fed­er­a­tion hosts its Na­tion­al Qual­i­fy­ing Pow­er­lift­ing and Bench Press Cham­pi­onship prize-giv­ing func­tion at Ch­agua­nas In­door Sports Are­na, Man­ic Street, Ch­agua­nas, from 7 pm.

Cham­pi­ons will be crowned in six cat­e­gories - sun ju­niors, ju­niors, male and fe­male, open and mas­ters. Ath­letes to rep­re­sent T&T at the ninth Caribbean, North Amer­i­can Pow­er­ful Fed­er­a­tion Cham­pi­onships and the sec­ond Cen­tral Amer­i­can and Caribbean Cham­pi­onships next year will be se­lect­ed.
