Pre­ci­sion Cy­ber Tech­nolo­gies won their fi­nal two match­es to cap­ture the first ti­tle at stake in the 32-teams BMW/John­nie Walk­er-spon­sored Queen’s Park (QP) Crick­et Club Eight-A-Side Mem­bers’ Foot­ball Tour­na­ment at the Queen’s Park Oval, Tra­garete Road, Port-of-Spain, last week.

Locked in a keen bat­tle with Jo­hh­ny Q for ti­tle ho­n­ours, Pre­ci­sion Cy­ber first blanked bMo­bile Busi­ness 2-0 with goals from Richard Smith and Kevin Ol­livier­ra be­fore Smith got the lone item in a 1-0 tri­umph against Carib to end 16 points from sev­en match­es on the eight-team ta­ble, lev­el with Carib, but with a su­pe­ri­or goal-dif­fer­ence of plus-12 to the “Brew­ery Boys” plus-eight while Carib end­ed third with 13 points, two ahead of Ul­ti­mate Events ahead of their “Big-Four.”

John­ny Q al­so won their fi­nal two league match­es, 2-0 over Ul­ti­mate Events led by a dou­ble from Jef­frey Dal­ton-Brown, and BMW by a 3-0 mar­gin with An­der­son Abra­ham scor­ing twice, and Dal­ton-Brown, the oth­er.

The quar­tet of The Mi­ni Bar, BMW, bMo­bile Busi­ness, and Blaz­erz Sports Bar the oth­er teams in the 46-53 Di­vi­sion will con­test a ‘Big-Four’ losers com­pe­ti­tion as well.

Else­where, Ja­son De­venish scored his third hat trick and Devin San­tos his first for their re­spec­tive clubs.

Play­ing in the Un­der-35 Di­vi­sion, De­venish of F3 To­tal Fit­ness fol­lowed up his first-round tre­bles against Harts in a 3-0 win and an­oth­er against Tribe in a 6-0 drub­bing with his sec­ond hat-trick in as many clash­es with Harts in a 6-0 vic­to­ry while he added one goal to his tal­ly, and An­drew Mer­ry the oth­er in a 2-0 de­feat of John­nie Walk­er to lead the sev­en club ta­ble with 21 points from eight match­es, two ahead Aioli Mar­ket­place fol­lowed by Trad­er James with 16, Harts with 15 and JES Foun­da­tion with 12 in the race for the ti­tle.

Ansa Mer­chant leads the 36-45 Di­vi­sion with 16 points from eight match­es de­spite play­ing to 1-1 draws in three straight match­es, but Domi­nos and CMB are hot on heels with 14 points apiece, and Seaboard, a fur­ther three points back with two match­es left for each team.

All Out stayed top of the 54-60 age group with 18 points from eight match­es, one more than Talon Well Ser­vices thanks to a 4-0 blank­ing of Car­pen­ter’s Edge led by a brace from Gary Hec­tor, and one each from Paul Jones, and Stephen Car­de­nas.

How­ev­er, the trio of House Hunters (14), Stihl (11), and Fat Boys (11) are still in the hunt as well.

Mur­phyclarke is well on course to cap­tur­ing the Over-60 Di­vi­sion ti­tle af­ter pick­ing up four points in their last two match­es, a 0-0 draw with Sprint Main­te­nance Ser­vices, and a 1-0 win against Cookin Vibez via a strike from Richard Jar­dine to move to 17 points from sev­en match­es, five ahead of Sprint Main­te­nances Ser­vices who have played the same num­ber of match­es.

And in the Women’s Di­vi­sion, Pre-Hab Ser­vices topped the four-club round-robin se­ries with six points, one ahead of Hug­gins Ship­ping whom they will meet in the tour­na­ment fi­nal on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 14, with Score 4 Can­cer and Glob­al Fi­nan­cial Bro­kers meet­ing for the third spot.
