BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Under fire Barbados allrounder Raymon Reifer has been included in Barbados Pride’s provisional 25-man squad as they gear up for the upcoming West Indies Four-Day Championship.
Reifer, who captained the Pride in last year’s Regional Super50 from the semifinal stage, is facing a possible ban from Cricket West Indies (CWI) for his role in the final which led to the match being forfeited.
Following a decision not to be present for the coin toss, Reifer along with Jamaica Scorpions captain John Campbell were charged with a Level 3 breach of the CWI Code of Conduct.
While Campbell was given a four-match ban, Reifer is contesting the charges with his legal team having already written to CWI advising them to withdraw the charges against him.
The Pride will take on the Guyana Harpy Eagles in their opening match.
