The inaugural Roxborough 10 for 10 Windball Cricket Tournament will come to close this weekend at the Cyd Gray Carpark, Roxborough.
The semi-finals are set for tomorrow beginning at 2 pm.
Roxborough Gunners and SSCL Hard Drive (Trinidad) booked their semi-final spots last weekend at Parade Square, Bacolet, with relatively easy quarter-final wins against Eastern Lions and Northside Combined respectively.
Set 107 for victory from an allotted 10 overs, Gunners eased to victory with 3.2 overs remaining. Leading player Jahron Alfred led the batting with 59 as Gunners only lost two wickets in the comprehensive chase.
Meantime, SSCL Hard Drive successfully defended their 95 for five wickets.
Northside were left stranded on 83 for five when their overs ran out. National Under-19 all-rounder Joshua James top-scored with 34.
The remaining semi-finalists were to be decided from the Canaan/Bon Accord Enforcers versus Run Things and Bloody Bay Raiders against All-rounders matchups.
Following tomorrow’s semis, the third-place playoff and finals will take place on Sunday beginning at 2 pm. The winning team will pocket $10,000 while the losers will walk away with $4,000. The third place winner will receive $2,000.
