"Every Stride Empowers", certainly what each participant of this year’s Scotiabank Women against breast cancer 5k is expected to take away from the experience.
This is the theme of the 21st edition of the event, which garners support from thousands of women who come out to raise awareness for breast cancer and women’s health, will take place on September 28 at the Queen’s Park Savannah, in Port-of-Spain from 3 pm with formalities and warm-up, and a prompt race start at 4 pm.
Registration continues via the online platform: https://raceroster.com/events/2019/26315/scotiabank-women-against-breast-cancer-5k and this weekend limited in-person registration is available at the package collection centres including One Woodbrook Place, Shopping Level from Port-of-Spain on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
The other venue is at 1005 Gulf View Park West, Gulf View, La Romain (Esau Oilfield Supplies Co. Ltd.) in San Fernando from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am – 1.30 pm.
For the past few years, the T&T Cancer Society has been the beneficiary of the event and has conducted a series of free community outreach cancer screening programmes.
