T&T's tennis girls made some major improvement yesterday at the North, Central American and Caribbean pre-qualifiers for the World Junior Tennis Competition in the Dominican Republic, getting success over The Bahamas.
Zara Ghuran opened T&T's campaign with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Jianna Munroe, then Ella Carrington also had a pretty easy match against Kaylee Kanuka, winning 6-1, 6-4.
Carrington later combined with Charlotte Ready in the doubles match and defeated the pair of Kanuka and Munroe 6-3, 6-3.
The local team bounced back well following its 2-1 loss to El Salvador on Wednesday. This after losing to Curacao and then Puerto Rico earlier in the competition.
On Friday, T&T will face Bermuda.
