The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) will host an Extraordinary Congress on April 13 for the election of a new Executive Committee.
Last February 13, 2024, the TTFA Normalisation Committee issued a notice to the TTFA Membership inviting candidatures to be submitted for the Elective Congress in April 2024.
According to the TTFA release the process for the nomination of candidates, integrity checks, and election procedures (the electoral process) is governed by the local federation statutes and its electoral code.
The TTFA released confirmed the official list of candidates for the 2024 elective congress with Kieron Edwards and his nine-member slate up against T&T Premier Football League’s Chief Executive Officer Colin Wharfe’s slate in the battle to step into office for the FIFA-appointed Normalisation Committee led by Robert Hadad which has been in charge of local football
According to Article 30 par. 3 of the TTFA Statutes, the election for the positions within the Executive Committee shall take place by slate.

TTFA officer to attend FIFA Integrity Summit
TTFA Integrity Officer Christophe Braithwaite will be among the invited integrity officers of all 211 FIFA member associations and the six confederations who will attend the first FIFA Integrity Summit.
This summit will be held in Singapore on 4 and 5 April 2024 in collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation and the Football Association of Singapore.
The summit aims to update integrity officers on global integrity trends, share best practices, present the new FIFA Integrity Handbook and Education Roadmap, and explore relevant decisions from FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding match manipulation.
A FIFA report states, “In line with FIFA’s vision to make football truly global, the FIFA Global Integrity Programme aims to provide Integrity Officers within FIFA’s member associations all around the world with an in-depth understanding of the scourge of match manipulation and ways or measures to tackle it effectively.
The programme, developed in collaboration with the UNODC, will deliver the knowledge and tools needed to prevent and fight match manipulation as well as to promote integrity by setting up successful and sustainable initiatives at the member association level. Furthermore, it will provide insight into how to conduct investigations into match manipulation incidents using practical examples. The programme will also serve as an opportunity for Integrity Officers to share experiences and best practices with one another.
