Much like the fashion and design arena, the world's technological landscape is ever changing and constantly developing with new trends and improvements. In a recent launch, bmobile proved that T&T is indeed up to date with global technical evolution with the introduction of the multi-faceted Samsung Galaxy Note.
The intimate launch, which was held at the Savannah Terrace of the Hilton Hotel in Port-of-Spain, attracted a wide cross-section of T&T's most influential business people, top advertising and communications executives and notable celebrities including cricket icon Brian Lara. Billed as a high fashion event, bmobile took a very creative, Project Runwayesque approach to unveiling the new Samsung device to the public.
As the audience learnt more about the "Note" they were treated to an artistic display as both male and female models strutted down a runway showing off the various uses of this novel apparatus. The models adorned with unique, radical outfits made from materials such as post it notes, also played the roles of the various users that can benefit from this device.
The revolutionary Samsung Galaxy Note brings together the very best qualities of a tablet and a smartphone. With its 5.3 inch large display, high resolution screen and pocket-sized portability, it allows users the ability to multi-task, create and consume more, with fewer interruptions, while on the go. Featuring a multitude of applications and diverse connectivity options, the Note will bring the core benefits of smart devices such as phones, mp3 players, portable game players, e-book readers, laptops and tablets to various individuals and professionals with supreme performance.
TSTT's executive vice president of Mobile Services, Lisa Agard was on hand at the event and affirmed bmobile is pleased to again be the provider of choice for Samsung to partner with in launching this ultra functional device, and expressed the importance of exploiting the benefits of smartphones /tablet computers and other technology in order for local businesses to remain competitively abreast with the rest of the world.
In keeping with evening's "high fashion" theme, the event's hosts JW and Blaze were known for the night as "JW Gunn" (a play on Project Runway host Tim Gunn) and "Blaze Ayoung-Chee" (a play on 2011 Champion Anya Ayoung-Chee). The hilarious morning show personalities engaged attendees in fun contests where some lucky audience members walked away with brand new Samsung Galaxy Notes.
Maggie Patience was thrilled to be one of the evening's winners. She shared, "I'm the technical one in my family so this suits me perfectly. I'll be using it immediately for my wholesale business and of course for keeping in touch with my family and friends abroad."
One half of the hosting duo, Ancil "Blaze" Isaac concurred that the Note is the best cross-breed between a smartphone and tablet, and that he looked forward to using it for reading documents and Web surfing. He stated, "It's really suitable for everyone from the business professional in the office to someone like me who is involved in media and entertainment and always on the move."
