Dufry Trinidad Ltd has opened its fifth duty free store in T&T.
The latest store named Timebox and Suncatcher has officially opened its doors after a delay in construction and completion due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The construction of the Timebox and Suncatcher Store began in 2019.
Richard Dowridge the general manager of Dufry Trinidad Ltd said while the challenges were endless the company was able to weather the storm and was able to officially open the doors of Timebox and Suncatcher Store last month.
The store will carry luxury items, which is a first regionally.
Luxury in the Dufry world is a department that features many categories including fashion, watches, jewellery and sunglasses.
“We believe that products in this category will be a considered purchase so a lot of care and pride is taken into ensuring that products in this category are merchandised at their best to create visual interest,” Dowridge said.
Some of the brands that will be featured at the new store are Anne Klein, Sekonda, Fossil, Michael Kors and Swarovski.
Dowridge said that Dufry also has a surprise for its loyal customers.
“To encourage sales and customers into our stores we have launched a new programme called red by Dufry a loyalty programme for frequent fliers so when they return they can get discounts on items,” he said.
