Dufry Trinidad Ltd has opened its fifth du­ty free store in T&T.

The lat­est store named Time­box and Sun­catch­er has of­fi­cial­ly opened its doors af­ter a de­lay in con­struc­tion and com­ple­tion due to the COVID-19 pan­dem­ic.

The con­struc­tion of the Time­box and Sun­catch­er Store be­gan in 2019.

Richard Dowridge the gen­er­al man­ag­er of Dufry Trinidad Ltd said while the chal­lenges were end­less the com­pa­ny was able to weath­er the storm and was able to of­fi­cial­ly open the doors of Time­box and Sun­catch­er Store last month.

The store will car­ry lux­u­ry items, which is a first re­gion­al­ly.

Lux­u­ry in the Dufry world is a de­part­ment that fea­tures many cat­e­gories in­clud­ing fash­ion, watch­es, jew­ellery and sun­glass­es.

“We be­lieve that prod­ucts in this cat­e­go­ry will be a con­sid­ered pur­chase so a lot of care and pride is tak­en in­to en­sur­ing that prod­ucts in this cat­e­go­ry are mer­chan­dised at their best to cre­ate vi­su­al in­ter­est,” Dowridge said.

Some of the brands that will be fea­tured at the new store are Anne Klein, Sekon­da, Fos­sil, Michael Ko­rs and Swarovs­ki.

Dowridge said that Dufry al­so has a sur­prise for its loy­al cus­tomers.

“To en­cour­age sales and cus­tomers in­to our stores we have launched a new pro­gramme called red by Dufry a loy­al­ty pro­gramme for fre­quent fliers so when they re­turn they can get dis­counts on items,” he said.
