Twelve people have been arrested for Breach of Curfew over the past 24 hours, according to the latest COVID Regulations enforcement update issued by the Police Service, on Thursday morning.
This figure brings the total so far to 895 arrested for curfew breaches since the State of Emergency was implemented a couple months ago.
And the TTPS continues to urge citizens to adhere to the Emergency Powers and Public Health Regulations and encourages the sharing of information on possible breaches.
In its latest statistics update for Thursday July 8th, the TTPS noted that there was a total of 46 face mask tickets issued over the past 24 hours, bringing the overall total to 13,539.
The Police Service also conducted some 468 patrols and 95 roadblocks over the last 24 hours.
In addition, the TTPS continues to be affected directly by COVID-19, as the number of police officers testing coronavirus positive now stands at 147, while 404 officers currently are in quarantine.
