The Ministry of Health has confirmed 17 new COVID-19 infections from samples collected between January 22 and 25 according to its daily update yesterday.
The new infections took the number of people to contract the virus locally since March 12 last year to 7,490 people.
The ministry also released 18 people from its care; one person was discharged from a public health facility while 17 people were released from home self-isolation as recovered community cases.
This took the number to 7,033 people to recover from an infection and took active cases down to 323.
Of those remaining active, there were 40 people hospitalised, seven in step-down facilities and 259 in-home self-isolation.
There were 410 people in state quarantine facilities.
Deaths remain at 134.
