Po­lice are try­ing to de­ter­mine if the body of a man found on a beach in La Brea this morn­ing, is that of Shomari Fras­er.

A re­port stat­ed that around 5 am, a pass­er-by found the par­tial­ly de­com­posed body ly­ing face down on the shore near the La Brea Po­lice Sta­tion. The body was bare-chest­ed and was clothed in a pair of black three-quar­ter pants.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors are wait­ing for con­fir­ma­tion of the de­ceased per­son’s iden­ti­ty but based on a de­scrip­tion giv­en by rel­a­tives, they sus­pect it could be Fras­er, who drowned off Far­al­lon Rock on Fri­day.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, Fras­er, 22, of Em­ba­cadere, San Fer­nan­do, left shore with three friends to lime at the isle in the Gulf of Paria around 5:30 pm on Fri­day. Two of his friends jumped in­to the wa­ter and swam to shore. They told po­lice Frasi­er at­tempt­ed to fol­low them but be­gan strug­gling to stay afloat.

De­spite at­tempts to save Frasi­er, he dis­ap­peared un­der­wa­ter.
