Physical classes have resumed at the Shiva Boys' Hindu College after the County Medical Officer of Health gave the all-clear for classes to restart this week.
Students have been reporting for school and there is strict adherence to all COVID-19 protocols.
A school source said they were confident that all the buildings were properly sanitized. Although some students who are vaccinated continue to stay away from classes, they are still receiving their online classes.
There have been no further reports of f COVID-19 positive cases at the school although at least two teachers are still in quarantine. The school has a population of just over 100 vaccinated students but since physical classes resumed there has not been 100 per cent attendance of vaccinated students. Most of the 46 teachers have been reporting for duty.
Last week the school was shut down just four days after the reopening of physical school.
Sixty-one pupils and 41 members of staff were advised to evacuate the school during lunchtime following directives from the County Medical Officer of Health. Eight students and a teacher were sent for testing.
A sanitization crew has sanitized the school twice. A senior school official said all protocols will be followed to ensure that all staff and students are safe.
