Nine more people lost their battle with COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 294 yesterday, just six shy of the grim 300 milestone.
The Ministry of Health yesterday reporter 294 news COVID cases, taking the active number of cases to 5,885 very close to 6,000.
According to the ministry, those who lost their lives to the virus all had comorbidities and includes four elderly males, one middle-aged male, two elderly females and two middle-aged females.
May has gone down on record as the deadliest month since the pandemic began in this country in March 2020 and also accounts for the most cases recorded in any single month.
